What do you get when you mix a photographer, a psychologist, and a web designer together?

A creative unicorn who designs websites that evoke feeling, build trust, and tell your story with precision detail.

The best websites don't just look beautiful, they create genuine connection between you and your clients.

Hello, I'm Stacie…

A former photojournalist turned psychologist who moonlights as a web designer.

I know, that's quite the career journey. But stick with me, I promise it makes sense.

I spent over a decade crafting visual stories for the Associated Press, Chicago Tribune, and New York Times. These days, I've traded Chicago's skyline for Colorado's Rocky Mountains, where you'll find me biking, hanging with my dogs, or searching for the perfect espresso shot to fuel the day.

Here's what all those years behind the lens taught me: the best moments happen when people trust you. When they feel safe enough to just be. As a psychologist, I use these trust-building skills everyday. Psychology isn’t just about understanding human behavior, it’s also crucial to intentionally create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and safe.

That's exactly how I approach web design, too. I create digital spaces that feel like a refuge from the internet's chaos. Places where your visitors can exhale, explore at their own pace, and actually want to get to know you more. No aggressive pop-ups, no overwhelming layouts. Just calm, intentional design that lets your work speak for itself.

Turns out, the photographer's eye for color, the psychologist's understanding of human behavior, and a designer's love for clean aesthetics make a pretty great combination. Who knew?!

Warmth and light,

The Visual Side

After  a decade as a photographer, I still can't help but notice the little details. For instance, spacing that feels slightly off or when words and images aren't playing nicely together. Or when there’s not enough white space to balance the color.

I will find that perfect balance where your message feels clear and your visuals feel calming. Also, I’m a grammar nerd, a copy-editing whiz, and someone who enjoys making words and visuals work in perfect harmony.

The Human Side

Psychology has taught me why certain designs feel calming while others create subtle stress. This isn't just theory. It's trauma-informed design in practice: thoughtful color palettes that soothe rather than stimulate, visual flows that guide without overwhelming, and layouts that create trust.

I weave these insights into every design, creating spaces that feel naturally soothing rather than overwhelming. For my colleagues in healthcare, I also understand the importance of HIPAA compliance and privacy. It's one less thing for you to worry about, knowing those pieces are thoughtfully handled.

The Technical Side

Before drag-and-drop was a twinkle in Squarespace's eye, I was hand-coding sites one bracket at a time. Like, back in the day when floppy disks were all the rage. These days, I'm fluent in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C++, and whatever new framework dropped last Tuesday. When something breaks (because internet), I can fix it without panicking. Your website won't just look beautiful— it'll load fast, work smoothly, and do exactly what you need it to do. Best part? I can explain it all without the tech jargon that makes your eyes glaze over.
